SoldIf served chilled, this wine is perfect as an aperitif or with summer dishes. Served at higher temperatures, it pairs well with Mantua’s traditional dishes, such as “bevr’in vin” (fresh stuffed pasta, filled with meat, served in brothand Lambrusco), cotechino (a charcuterie product, similar to salami, that requires cooking), Mantua’s salami, braised meats and grilled pork.

Pippi Stravagante was born from a project with Palazzo Ducale in Mantua on the occasion of the 2019 exhibition dedicated to Giulio Romano. Its name originates from Giulio Romano’s real name, Pippi Jannuzzi or Giannuzzi Stravagante, as he was defined as an artist with an “extravagant manner”. The label depicts the twisted columns that Giulio Romano designed, which can be found in the hanging garden of the Cavallerizza in the Ducal Palace.
